Andrei Petreanu
Founder RO AI Alliance
Andrei Petreanu is an AI Tech Lead and the founder of RO AI Alliance, one of the largest AI communities in Romania, with over 5,000 members. With more than 12 years of hands-on experience in artificial intelligence, long before the current wave of adoption, he has been involved in building AI systems and products at scale.
His work includes publishing research at CVPR, one of the world’s leading AI conferences, and contributing to early developments in large language models, including one of the first commercial Romanian LLMs back in 2018. He is the founder of Brain-Waves.ai, a boutique AI agency, and has recently launched products such as HyperBlocks and HyperTenders, focused on AI automation. His work has also contributed to large-scale AI systems used globally, impacting millions of users.
Beyond building products, Andrei is actively involved in education and community, having taught Computer Vision at the University of Bucharest and speaking at major industry events such as DevTalks and IQ Digital. His work has been recognized with awards such as the Grand Prize at Patriot Fest and Best Tech Speaker at IDC.
Outside of tech, he is also a music producer and performer, with a band signed to Universal Music and appearances at major festivals including Untold and Electric Castle, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective that blends technology, creativity, and culture.
