Ion Biris

Ion Biriș is bringing three decades of hospitality and distribution leadership to FOMO 2026.

Thirty years ago, he founded BDG, now one of the top three importers and distributors of alcoholic beverages in Romania, with a portfolio of over 100 internationally recognized brands. His work has shaped the premium beverage landscape in Romania through long-term partnerships and strategic market positioning.

In 1998, he created Office, a hospitality brand that became a reference point in Romania for over 15 years. In 2010, he launched LOFT, a concept that remains a benchmark in the Romanian hospitality industry. Across distribution and venue development, Ion has consistently built platforms that define standards rather than follow them.

For the past decade, he has also served as a board member of HORA, the employers’ association of the Romanian hospitality industry, contributing to policy dialogue and industry development at a national level.
