Creator Urban Mowgli, Co-Founder ParentED Fest, Parenting & Development Specialist
Diana Bălan is the creator of Urban Mowgli, a platform designed to support parents in understanding early childhood through the lens of developmental psychology, attachment theory, and neuroscience.
Her work focuses on the emotional foundation of childhood and the role of the adult in shaping it through relationship, not control. She translates complex concepts into practical, real-life understanding, making them relevant for everyday parenting. Diana holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King’s College London and is certified in pediatric sleep.
She is also a Faculty Member of the Neufeld Institute, leading its Romanian branch and contributing to the dissemination of attachment-based developmental science. She is the co-founder of ParentED Fest, the largest parenting event in Romania, bringing internationally recognized experts in psychology and neuroscience closer to a wider audience.
As a mother of two, Diana combines academic expertise with lived experience, bridging science and real life in a way that is both grounded and accessible.
