Thomas Kolarik

Thomas Kolarik is a technology and operations executive with experience spanning banking, IT providers, and startups, working in roles such as COO and CTO across complex, mission-critical environments.

As VP IT & Operations at BCR, he focuses on building systems, teams, and capabilities that support large-scale transformation. His background includes extensive work in project delivery, operations, and organizational restructuring within financial services.

Earlier in his career, he built a consulting company from the ground up, following a role in business growth as a sales manager at a multinational IT provider. Alongside his executive work, Thomas has been involved in academia as a university lecturer and has served as a supervisory board member.

With a strong interest in how technology shapes organizations, his current focus is on the democratization of AI and the rise of the “AI citizen”, a shift that enables people across functions to build, automate, and solve problems using technology, regardless of their technical background.
